There are publishers that are sponsored by learned societies. They publish scholarly journals of excellent quality at reasonable subscription rates. Publication costs are partly covered by member fees and much of the work is done by volunteers. Sometimes they request a voluntary page charge if your article has passed the peer review process. Unfortunately, CWI is not yet able to provide funding.
