At CWI, we believe that combining different talents creates excellence, so we are careful to nurture and facilitate young researchers from many different backgrounds.
During their 4 years of research, our PhD students work at CWI, most of the time - or from home, in corona times. As CWI is no university, their PhD defences take place at the university of the main supervisor, often a professor who is a researcher at CWI and who works at a university for 1 or 2 days a week. We collaborate with many Dutch universities (see also Together with universities we tackle major societal challenges).
