Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI) has played a leading role in the implementation of DNSSEC at the Amsterdam Science Park. The project was a joint initiative from CWI, AMOLF and Nikhef. In 2013, these three NWO related research institutes submitted a proposal for the Campus Challenge, a competition organized by SURFnet and SIDN. The implementation of DNSSEC was a part of it.
