Jannis Teunissen from Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI) in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, won the Student Award of Excellence of the GEC for his talk 'Advances in the three-dimensional simulation of streamer discharges' at the joint meeting of the Gaseous Electronics Conference (GEC, US-based) and the International Conference of Reactive Plasma (ICRP, Japanese) in Honolulu, Hawaii, on 15 October 2015. Jannis is a PhD researcher in CWI’s Multiscale Dynamics research group, which is headed by Ute Ebert.
Furthermore, the ICRP gave the most cited paper award for the special issue of ICRP 2010 to ‘Boltzmann equation analysis of electron transport in a N2-O2 streamer discharge’ – an article written by Sasa Dujko, Ute Ebert, R.D. White, and Z.Lj. Petrovic, which appeared in Jap. J. Appl. Phys. *50*, 08JC01 (2011). At the time, Sasa Dujko was a postdoc researcher at CWI in Amsterdam.
