MonetDB Solutions, a company formed by researchers at CWI, today announced an investment from digital workflow company ServiceNow to help large enterprises drive digital transformation. Additionally, the two companies will work together to build MonetDB open-source database technology into ServiceNow’s Now Platform to strengthen analytics capabilities and to drive faster transaction speeds for its largest customers.
“In today's world of digital business, large enterprises require application responsiveness and speed at scale, and that requires a different approach to database technology,” says Prof. Martin Kersten, CEO and co-founder, MonetDB Solutions. “Together with ServiceNow, we will continue to expand our Database-as-a-Service environment, as MonetDB also plans to invest in further product innovation.”
