Within the directorate, Broekhuis is as institute manager responsible for the financial and operational management of CWI, an ~20M€/±220 fte organisation. CWI's home base is at the Science Park Amsterdam whilst having research contacts around the globe.
Broekhuis is also director of CWI's holding company CWI Incubator where the shareholding positions in CWI's spinoff companies are managed. Currently this portfolio consists of eight companies.
